The vision for the Sylvan Dell project is to establish an ecological preserve and educational
center on the site, the “Susquehanna Institute for Ecological and Historic Study,” that offers
unique educational and recreational opportunities to residents and visitors to the area,
including:

• The thousands of visitors from all geographic regions of the USA and the world thatvisit this area each year for the Little League World Series and training camps.

• Lycoming College and Pennsylvania College of Technology students who can utilizethe site for applied ecological and archaeological research.

• Residents and visitors who can utilize the site for walking , biking, paddling, and swimming and learn about the diverse heritage and natural resource of the site and region.
